Certificated employees filling positions of regularly employed persons who are absent from service are to be classified as substitute employees.
Our recommendation of the Superintendent, the Governing Board may employ day-to-day substitute teachers subject to assignment.
Retired teachers may be employed as day-to-day substitute teachers as permitted by applicable laws and regulations.
The Superintendent, or designee, may release a day-to-day substitute from his/her assignment at any time.
Day-to-day substitute teachers may be terminated at any time at the discretion of the Board.
Day-to-day substitute teachers shall be paid a daily rate approved by the board.
