Goals For The School District

The Governing Board shall provide for students' educational, personal and career needs by striving to:

1. Maintain safe, healthful and orderly campuses which encourage positive attitudes in students

2. Provide a variety of classroom settings and instructional strategies which research has shown to be effective

3. Provide for the specialized needs of identified groups of students

4. Provide appropriate instruction to meet the varied academic and career goals of students by identifying and responding to individual educational needs of students

5. Ensure that all students achieve academic proficiency in essential areas of skill and knowledge

6. Develop each student's self-respect, respect for others, appreciation for diversity, and sense of personal and school responsibility

8. Maintain fiscal integrity for the district

11. Maintain effective relations between school and community which emphasize communication, parent and community participation and home-school cooperation and support

12. Cooperate with other public agencies and private organizations to ensure that children's physical, social and emotional needs are met
