Upon initial employment and upon each change, each classified employee may be furnished a copy, upon request, of his/her class specification, salary data, assignment or work location, together with hours and the prescribed workweek. The salary data shall include the annual, monthly or pay period, daily, hourly and overtime rate of compensation, whichever is applicable. One copy shall be signed and dated by the employee, with one copy retained in the Personnel Services Office and one copy returned to the employee's supervisor.
Classified employees shall be assigned by their immediate supervisors with the approval of the Superintendent or designee. They shall be required to perform those duties prescribed by the Board of Trustees for the position the employee holds. Employees may be required to work outside of their job classification. Compensation shall be adjusted upward to reflect the performance of duties outside of the employees normal assignment in accordance with the collective bargaining agreement.

The Board shall classify all positions in the classified service and other positions not requiring certification qualifications. Each position shall have a designated title, regular minimum number of assigned hours per day, days per week and months per year. A specific statement of the duties required and the regular monthly salary ranges shall be established for each position.
