arrow Previous bar Next arrow

A student may earn 20 units of credit toward graduation by participating in a planned program of Work Experience. Before a student is eligible to participate in that program, the student shall meet the following criteria:

1. Students shall have demonstrated proficiency in the three areas measured by the District Proficiency Examination before being allowed to enroll in Work Experience programs.

2. Students shall not be released from attendance of classes on campus unless the hours of the job require them to be excused early. No student shall be excused from classes for a job that begins after the close of the normal school day.

3. Work Experience will be offered on a pass-fail basis. Graduation credit will be awarded but the grade will not be a factor in calculating overall grade point averages.
