Universal Precautions in the Classroom
Before students perform any hazardous activity which could cause student contact with blood, blood products, or other body fluids, the teacher should briefly explain the potentially hazardous nature of the blood and body fluids in the transmission of various agents from one person to another and the specific procedures and safety precautions to be used in the lesson.
It is against district policy for students to be directed to work with human blood, human blood products, or other human body fluids (e.g., blood typing).
