Closed Campus

In order to keep our students in a supervised, safe, and orderly environment, the Governing Board establishes a closed campus at all District schools. Once students arrive at school, they must remain on campus until the end of the school day unless they have brought written authorization from their parents/guardians and received permission from school authorities to leave for a specific purpose. Principals, with the approval of the Superintendent or designee, may approve off campus passes for approved students.

Students shall not leave school grounds at any time during the school day without express permission of school authorities. Students who leave campus without authorization shall be considered to have an unexcused absence and be subject to disciplinary action.

(cf. 5112.1 - Exemptions from Attendance)

(cf. 5113 Absences and Excuses)
