Annual Organizational Meeting
The Board shall hold an annual organizational meeting within the time limits prescribed by law. (Education Code 35143)
At this meeting the Board shall:
1. Elect a president and a clerk/vice president from its members.
2. Develop a schedule of regular meetings for the year.
3. Designate Board representatives.

Election of Officers
The Board shall each year elect a president and a clerk/vice president. To be eligible for the presidency of the governing board, a member shall have served on the Board for a period of at least one year unless no such member is available.
The secretary of the Board shall be the Superintendent of the Elk Grove Unified School District.
