Rating Requirements

Ratings for all regular employees shall be obtained at specified intervals during the work year. The ratings shall be reported to the classified personnel department on appropriate forms.

Performance ratings for all probationary employees shall be submitted at the conclusion of the third month and the fifth month of the probationary period. Probationary employees shall review and sign their rating forms before they are submitted to the classified personnel department by their principal, department head, or supervisor.

Evaluation forms for permanent employees shall be submitted at least two months prior to their anniversary date. A special rating may be submitted an any time if it is desired by the principal or supervisor. Permanent employees shall review and sign their evaluation forms before they are submitted to the classified personnel department by the principal, department head, or supervisor.

1. Rating Philosophy

Each rating report shall reflect the combined judgement and review of both the immediate supervisor and/or the administrative officer immediately associated with the employee being rated.

2. Rating Review

Any employee, who has reason to question any aspect of his performance rating, has the right to request a review of his evaluation by the Superintendent.
