(a) Custodial parents 16 or 17 years of age who are required to register pursuant to Section 11320.3 shall be required to participate in the program, subject to both of the following requirements:
(1) The custodial parent shall participate in the program until the registrant earns his or her high school diploma or its equivalent.
(2) The custodial parent shall participate in the program as a student attending school on a full-time basis, as normally defined by the program in which the participant enrolls.
(b) For the purposes of this article, "teen" or "teenage parent" means a custodial parent under 18 years of age, who is required to register pursuant to Section 11320.3.
