
Credit for experience
All new employees will start on step one of the appropriate salary classification. Up to two years related experience outside the district may be recognized. An employee receiving outside experience credit may be started on step three.
For difficult to fill special education support positions, the superintendent or designee may add an additional 2 years, if needed for recruitment purposes.
Advancement on Salary Schedule
An employee who serves the required probationary period of six months in a satisfactory manner shall be classified as a permanent employee and shall be advanced one step on the salary schedule. The date of permanency shall become the anniversary date for additional advancement on the salary schedule.
