High-Risk Youth Education and Public Safety Program. Transitioning High-Risk Youth Program. Article 3. Funding
(a) The minimum schoolday for pupils enrolled in a program for transitioning high-risk youth under this chapter is 240 minutes of instruction. To be eligible for apportionment funding, the pupils' attendance is required to be under the immediate supervision and control of a certificated employee of the school district or county office of education reporting the pupils' attendance for apportionment funding.
(b) Notwithstanding any other provision of law, a pupil enrolled in a program under this chapter may not generate more than one day of attendance credit in a calendar day in a program authorized by this chapter, plus not more than one day of attendance in one other program.
(c) For the purposes of calculating the additional funding provided to a school district or county office of education pursuant to subdivision (a) of Section 47771.5 only, attendance for transitioning high-risk youth pupils shall be reported in clock hours. Attendance of less than five clock hours in a schoolday shall be disregarded for purposes of subdivision (a) of Section 47771.5. Five clock hours of attendance in one schoolday shall be deemed to be one-half day of attendance for purposes of additional funding pursuant to subdivision (a) of Section 47771.5. Six clock hours or more of attendance in one schoolday shall be deemed to be one day of attendance for purposes of additional funding pursuant to subdivision (a) of Section 47771.5.
(d) Independent study may not be utilized as means of providing any part of the minimum instructional day calculated pursuant to subdivision (a) or (c).
