As part of its responsibility to establish a guiding vision for the district, the Governing Board shall develop and regularly review a set of fundamental principles which describes the district's beliefs, values or tenets. The Board and district staff shall incorporate this philosophy in all district programs and activities.

¬ï Our first responsibility is to provide a quality educational program that meets the needs of all students in the district.
¬ï That we teach the whole child. We expect academic achievement, personal responsibility, honesty, cultural sensitivity, and respect for people, property, and the environment.
¬ï That all children can learn best in a safe, clean, caring, and aesthetically pleasing environment.
¬ï That when we come together as one community, we are enriched by our cultural diversity.
¬ï That people are our most important resource and should be treated with respect and dignity.
¬ï That we need families as partners with the school and district in sharing ideas and giving input to major decisions affecting their children's education.
