At the beginning of each school year, the Superintendent or designee shall notify parents/guardians of the availability of state funds to cover the costs of Advanced Placement examination fees pursuant to Education Code 52244. (Education Code 48980)

Any economically disadvantaged student, as defined in Education Code 52241, who is enrolled in an Advanced Placement course may apply to the Superintendent or designee to cover to costs of Advanced Placement examination fees minus five dollars which shall be paid by the student. (Education Code 52244)
