To help ensure the safety of district staff and students and the security of district property, the Governing Board authorizes a sheriff deputy to be assigned to the high school campus.

The assigned deputy shall conduct himself/herself in ways that promotes good will and cooperation on the part of students, district staff, and the general public.

The Board authorizes the sheriff's deputy to carry firearms in accordance with Board policy and administrative regulations.

The sheriff's deputy assigned must be approved by the district Superintendent.
