Work Year For Administrative And Supervisory Positions
The Board of Trustees recognizes that the requirements of different administrative and supervisory positions may require variations in work years. Therefore, the Board of Trustees may, by individual contract, agree to a "positive work year" consisting of a set number of required work days.
Employees working a "positive work year" shall submit a calendar to the Superintendent or designee on an approved form for prior approval no later than July 1 of each year. The calendar must be approved by the Superintendent or designee. If no calendar is submitted, or if there is disagreement regarding a work calendar, the Superintendent or designee may designate a work calendar.
Unless otherwise approved in writing, it is the expectation of the Board of Trustees that school site based administrative and supervisory employees will be at work on student days.
The Superintendent or designee may, on special occasions, approve attendance at a training or event on a weekend/holiday as a full or partial workday. These approvals shall be reported to the Board of Trustees in a timely manner.
