Residents Of Adjacent Foreign Countries Tuition, And Issuance Of I-20's

Residents of Adjacent Foreign Countries

Any student otherwise eligible for admission, whose actual and legal residence is in a foreign country adjacent to the state of California and who regularly returns within a 24-hour period to said foreign country, may be granted admission to the Sweetwater Union High School District as a tuition student.

Tuition Charges

The Board of Trustees shall, as a condition precedent to the admission of such a person, require the parent(s)/guardian(s)/caregiver(s) of such person to pay tuition fees as determined by Fiscal Services pursuant to the guidelines set forth in Education Code 48052.

Average Daily Attendance Computation

The attendance of such students shall not be included in computing the average daily attendance of the class or school for apportionment purposes.

I-20 Forms from the Immigration and Naturalization Service

The district shall not issue I-20 forms.

Superintendent to Develop Regulation(s)

The Superintendent shall formulate such regulation(s) as necessary to implement this policy.
