The District may provide service from home to school. Students who must rely on public transportation and whose economic circumstances seriously interfere with the student's ability to attend school regularly shall be considered on an individual basis for transportation assistance. Family income, the number of family members and unusual expenses as scheduled by the District shall be the sole criteria for determining the economic hardship of a student. Only students from families with gross income levels at or below those prescribed by the District shall be eligible for District subsidized fares.
The provision of transportation services shall depend upon a continuing assessment of financial resources.
