The Board may establish or agree to include in any collective bargaining agreement a catastrophic leave program to permit employees to donate eligible leave credits to an employee when that employee or a member of his or her family suffers from a catastrophic illness or injury. Such a program, if established or agreed upon, shall meet the requirements set forth in Education Code section 44043.5
