Educational technology dissemination project grants shall be provided to school districts and county offices of education for the purposes of identifying, disseminating, and installing exemplary practices and products, for general education, English language acquisition, and non-English-speaking parent education. Priority shall be given to applicants whose projects involve collaboration with a postsecondary educational institution.
(a) It is the intent of the Legislature that grant recipients utilize existing regional resource consortia to provide staff development relating to those resources.
(b) As a condition to receiving funding, grant recipients shall do all of the following:
(1) Assist educators in the adoption or adaptation of exemplary educational technology practices and products.
(2) Develop and conduct staff development for educators related to educational technology products and practices in collaboration with existing local regional resources and subject matter and professional development projects.
