Infectious Disease Prevention

The Governing Board recognizes its responsibility to promote disease prevention procedures in the handling and the cleaning up of blood and body fluids.

The Board desires to protect the school community without discrimination or stigma. Infectious disease prevention shall be taught regardless of whether a district student or adult is known to have an identified infectious disease.

All students and employees shall be provided periodic instruction in procedures recommended by the State Department of Education and other public health agencies and associations.

Injuries and Accidents

Whenever exposed to blood or other body fluids through injury or accident, students and staff should follow the latest medical protocol for disinfecting procedures.
